Private Jet to
Palma & Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca is the Balearics' biggest airport and the arrival point for the whole island. It is busier than people expect in summer, but it has more room than Ibiza and copes with business aviation all year.

Private jet charter to Mallorca means flying into Palma (PMI / LEPA), the island's airport for business jets. It sits just east of the city, which makes Palma, Portals and the south-west coast quick to reach. The rest of the island is further than it looks: the north coast and the Tramuntana villages can be an hour or more by road.

Mallorca has a longer season than Ibiza. Spring and autumn are popular for cycling, golf and sailing, and plenty of owners use the island year-round, so a trip in March or November is easier to schedule and usually cheaper than the same trip in August.

When to go

The peak is July and August, with busy weekends from May to October. Mallorca's spring and autumn are genuinely popular, not quiet, and the island sees more winter business aviation than most Mediterranean destinations.

Positioning and empty legs

In peak season, overnight parking at Palma can be limited, so longer stays sometimes involve the aircraft repositioning and returning. Palma's year-round traffic means positioned aircraft are more common than at seasonal airports, which can help price; save your route to hear about verified legs.

Common questions

Palma & Mallorca
private jet FAQ

How much is a private jet from London to Palma?

The indicative flying charge is £11,500, for about 1 hr 45 min estimated airborne time in a Citation X or similar super-midsize jet at £6,500 per flying hour. Where a light jet suits the passengers and baggage, the equivalent figure is about £7,000. Positioning, airport and handling charges, catering and other costs are added in the quotation.

Is there another airport on Mallorca for private jets?

Palma is the island's airport for business jets. Menorca and Ibiza have their own airports; flying between the islands is a short sector if you are combining them.

When is the best time to fly privately to Mallorca?

May, June, September and October give good weather with easier scheduling than July and August. The island is also busy in spring for cycling and golf, so book early then too.

How long is the drive from Palma airport to Pollença?

Usually about an hour, longer in summer traffic. For the Tramuntana villages allow similar time on slower roads.

Can I fly from Ibiza to Palma by private jet?

Yes. It is a very short inter-island sector, and a turboprop or light jet is the sensible aircraft for it.
