Private Jet to
Geneva & the Alps

Geneva is the gateway to the western Alps, but it is not always the closest airport to your chalet. Sion, Chambéry and Grenoble each serve different valleys, and choosing the right one is often worth more than choosing a faster aircraft.

Private jet charter to the Alps starts with a simple question: which resort? Geneva (GVA / LSGG) suits Chamonix, Megève and much of the Haute-Savoie and is a sensible all-weather choice for Verbier. Sion is closer for Verbier, Crans-Montana and the Valais. Chambéry and Grenoble serve the Tarentaise — Courchevel, Méribel, Val d'Isère — and the French resorts further south.

Geneva is also a year-round business destination in its own right, with banking, diplomacy and conferences keeping it busy outside the ski season. The detailed aircraft and Alpine airport comparison sits on the London to Geneva private jet page; this hub sets out the options across the region.

When to go

The ski season runs from December to April, and Saturday changeover days are the busiest of the week at every Alpine airport. Christmas, New Year and February half term are the peak weeks. Geneva stays busy through the rest of the year with business travel and summer lakes and mountains trips.

Positioning and empty legs

At winter weekends parking at Geneva and the smaller Alpine airports can be limited, so a week's stay often means the aircraft leaves and returns. Weather is the other variable: mountain airports have more weather-related diversions than lowland ones, which is one reason Geneva is often booked as the dependable option. Save your route to hear about verified legs on changeover days.
