Why book here

No call centre
in the middle

Most Citation X charter you'll find online is sold by brokers. They're quoting an aircraft they've never seen, operated by a company they've never met, flown by a crew they can't name. The quote comes back with a margin on it and nobody on that chain has been in the cockpit.

This is one aircraft, operated on a certificated air carrier's AOC, and I'm one of the pilots on it. Not a broker passing your trip down a chain — a certificated operator behind the flight and a pilot in front of it. Ask whether the runway works, whether the payload closes with eight up and full bags, whether that turnaround is realistic, and get an answer from someone who'll be flying the sector rather than a sales desk reading a spec sheet.

Quotes are all-in and specific to your trip. No hourly-rate teaser that grows once handling, fuel and crew costs land.

The aircraft

Cessna Citation X
(CE-750)

Super-midsize, transatlantic-capable, and with a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.92 it remains one of the fastest purpose-built business jets. Speed is the whole point of this aircraft — it turns a long day into a short one.

The Citation X cruises at up to Mach 0.92 and climbs to 51,000 ft, above most of the weather and most of the traffic. On a London–Nice or London–Geneva run that's a modest saving. On anything transatlantic or Middle East it's an hour or more back in your day, and often the difference between a same-day return and an overnight.

The cabin seats eight in a double-club layout with a full galley, an enclosed lavatory and a stand-up aisle. Baggage is generous for the class and the hold is heated and pressurised, so skis, clubs and camera kit travel fine.

It's certified for the airfields most charter clients actually want, and its short-field performance opens up regional airports that keep you off the motorway at both ends.

Also available for charter: light jet and turboprop options through operators I work with directly, when the X is more aircraft than the trip needs.

Empty legs

Get told before
anyone else

An empty leg is a positioning flight — the aircraft is going somewhere anyway, with nobody in the back. Sell that seat block and everyone wins: you fly a Citation X for well under the usual number, and the flight isn't burning fuel for nothing.

There's no live list on this page, deliberately. One aircraft doesn't generate a rolling catalogue, and by the time an empty leg is published on a broker site it's usually gone or it never existed. Instead, tell me the routes you'd take and the dates you're flexible on, and you'll hear from me directly when something matches.

  • Fixed date and route — they move when the original trip moves
  • Usually one-way, occasionally a same-day return
  • Short notice: often days, sometimes hours
  • Priced per flight, not per seat

Empty leg alerts

No newsletter, no drip campaign. You'll only hear from me when a leg matches what you've asked for.

Charter enquiry

Route, date,
how many

That's enough to start checking suitable aircraft and operator availability. Straightforward enquiries can often be quoted the same day. Anything urgent, email direct and it'll reach me faster.

  1. 01Send the route, dates and how many of you there are.
  2. 02I price it with the operator's ops team and come back to you, usually the same day.
  3. 03Your charter contract is with the operating air carrier.
  4. 04The operator's crew fly it — and where the roster allows, that's me.
