Private Jet to
Nice & Monaco

Monaco has no airport. Private jets for Monaco, and for most of the Riviera, land at Nice Côte d'Azur — one of the busiest business aviation airports in Europe, and at its busiest during the May events.

Private jet charter to Nice (NCE / LFMN) covers the whole French Riviera: Monaco to the east, Cannes and Antibes to the west, and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the villages in between. The airport is on the seafront west of Nice, so most of the coast is a short road or helicopter transfer away.

For smaller jets bound for Cannes, Cannes-Mandelieu is sometimes the closer option. Its suitability depends on the aircraft, so we check it for each trip rather than promising it.

Arrival airports

Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE / LFMN) — The main Riviera airport. Nice, Monaco, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Antibes and Cannes.

Cannes-Mandelieu (CEQ / LFMD) — For Cannes with smaller aircraft; checked case by case.

Areas served

  • Monaco and Monte Carlo
  • Nice
  • Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Villefranche
  • Antibes and Cap d'Antibes

Transfers

Monaco is roughly half an hour to the east by road, depending on traffic, and helicopter transfers from Nice airport to Monaco are a common alternative. Cannes is around the same distance to the west. Antibes and Cap-Ferrat are closer.

When to go

Demand peaks from May to September. The Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix both fall in May and are the busiest weeks of the year for Riviera business aviation; plan those trips months ahead. The Monaco Yacht Show in September is another busy period. Winter is quieter.

Positioning and empty legs

During the May events and in high summer, parking at Nice can be tight and the aircraft may reposition during a longer stay. Outside those periods it is usually straightforward. The Riviera's high volume of traffic produces verified empty legs at the end of events; save your route to hear about them.

Common questions

Nice & Monaco
private jet FAQ

How much is a private jet from London to Nice?

The indicative flying charge is £9,500, for about 1 hr 25 min estimated airborne time in a Citation X or similar super-midsize jet at £6,500 per flying hour. Where a light jet suits the passengers and baggage, the equivalent figure is about £5,500. Positioning, airport and handling charges, catering and other costs are added in the quotation.

Which airport do private jets use for Monaco?

Nice Côte d'Azur. Monaco has no airport; the onward journey is by road or by helicopter from Nice.

When should I book a private jet for the Monaco Grand Prix?

As early as you can. Grand Prix week and the Cannes Film Festival are the busiest periods of the year on the Riviera, and aircraft, slots and parking all get scarce at once.

Can I fly into Cannes instead of Nice?

Sometimes. Cannes-Mandelieu suits smaller jets; whether it suits your aircraft and trip is checked when we quote.

Is a private jet from Paris to Nice worth it?

For a group, often yes, because the price is for the whole aircraft. See Paris to Nice private jet for the figures.
