London to Nice
Nice is the arrival for the Côte d'Azur and Monaco, and one of the busiest business aviation airports in Europe. Around an hour and forty airborne — the constraint is parking during event weeks, not the flying.

Super-midsize planning profile. Block time adds an indicative taxi allowance across both ends and is not a scheduled time. Indicative flying charge only, calculated from estimated airborne time and a representative rate for the aircraft category. Positioning, airport charges, handling, passenger taxes, catering, de-icing, crew expenses and minimum-sector charges are additional. Final pricing depends on aircraft availability and operator quotation.
Why this airport
Nice puts you on the coast without a long transfer, and it is the only airport in the region that handles large-cabin aircraft comfortably. Monaco is a short helicopter hop from the terminal.
Slots, parking and operational restrictions
Nice handles very heavy business aviation volume in season. During the Grand Prix, the film festival and the yacht show, parking rather than runway capacity is the binding constraint, and aircraft routinely drop passengers and reposition — sometimes as far as Genoa or Marseille. That repositioning is chargeable flying time and is the single biggest reason a Nice quote can exceed the indicative figure.
Alternative airports
Cannes-Mandelieu is closer to Cannes but its runway rules out most midsize and larger jets, including the Citation X. Toulon-Hyères serves the Var and Saint-Tropez. Genoa and Marseille are the practical repositioning and overflow options. Monaco itself has no runway — arrival is by helicopter from Nice.
Passengers and baggage
A short sector, so payload is rarely the limit. Yacht weeks bring unusual baggage — tenders, dive kit, oversized cases — and those want declaring early because volume, not weight, decides.
Onward transfer
Monaco is normally reached by helicopter from Nice. Cannes, Antibes and Saint-Tropez are road transfers whose duration varies enormously with season and event traffic.
Road journey times vary with traffic, weather and season. We do not publish transfer times as promises.

Indicative cruise altitude only — actual altitude depends on routing, weather, aircraft weight and air traffic control. Range is a planning figure, not a guarantee: payload, reserves, weather and airport restrictions all reduce usable range. Individual aircraft configurations vary and no particular airframe is guaranteed.
The pilot’s view
Nice is straightforward to fly into and difficult to park at. In May there are weeks when the aircraft simply cannot stay, and the honest version of the quote includes two empty sectors. If your dates are flexible by even a day either side of an event, the difference in price is worth having. Cannes-Mandelieu sounds appealing until you check what fits on the runway.
Common questions
How long is a private jet flight from London to Nice?
About 1 hr 25 min estimated airborne time over a great-circle distance of 560 nm. Allowing for taxi at both ends, indicative block time is about 1 hr 45 min. Actual routing varies with airways, ATC, weather and operational requirements.
How much does a private jet from London to Nice cost?
Indicatively £9,500 for a super-midsize aircraft, calculated from 1 hr 25 min estimated airborne time.
Who operates the flight?
Charter flights are operated by appropriately certificated third-party air carriers. The operating carrier is identified with the charter quotation.
Can a private jet land at Monaco?
No — Monaco has no runway. Arrival is normally by helicopter from Nice, which takes a few minutes.
Why is Nice more expensive during the Grand Prix?
Parking is the constraint, not the flying. If the aircraft cannot stay it flies two empty sectors to reposition and return, and that flying is chargeable.
