Super-midsize planning profile. Block time adds an indicative taxi allowance across both ends and is not a scheduled time. Positioning, airport charges, handling, passenger taxes, catering, de-icing, crew expenses and minimum-sector charges are additional. Why this airport
The Canaries are the closest genuinely warm winter destination to the UK, which is why the sector is busy from November through March while the Mediterranean is not.
Slots, parking and operational restrictions
Tenerife South handles the bulk of the island's traffic and has established business aviation handling. Tenerife North is closer to the north of the island and to Santa Cruz. Winter is high season here, so parking and handling need arranging in advance rather than assumed.
Alternative airports
Gran Canaria is a similar distance and serves a different set of resorts. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are the other Canary options. Tenerife North suits the north of the island.
Passengers and baggage
A longer sector with a full cabin means payload deserves a proper look — range, passengers and baggage all pull against each other on a three-and-a-half hour leg in a light jet. Golf clubs are common on this route and need declaring.
Onward transfer
The southern resorts are close to Tenerife South; the north of the island and Santa Cruz are a longer drive, which is where Tenerife North becomes worth considering.
Road journey times vary with traffic, weather and season. We do not publish transfer times as promises.

Indicative cruise altitude only — actual altitude depends on routing, weather, aircraft weight and air traffic control. Range is a planning figure, not a guarantee: payload, reserves, weather and airport restrictions all reduce usable range. Individual aircraft configurations vary and no particular airframe is guaranteed.
The pilot’s view
This is the sector where the light jet stops being automatically the right answer. Three and a half hours with eight aboard and full luggage pushes a light jet's payload-range harder than most people expect, and the honest recommendation is often a category up. Worth asking rather than booking on seat count.
